Hey Friends!

I am so excited to share my first wedding of 2022 with you all. Deanna and Frankie connected with me online through my website. As I got to know them, I could see that they were such a down to earth, low-key and sweet couple. They got married at the lovely Orange County Arboretum at Thomas Bull Memorial Park. They were truly a dream to work with. Their wedding was so much fun and absolutely beautiful! Some of my personal favorite parts of their day were the first look and portrait session. I also had the best time working alongside some vendor friends as well (or as I like to call them, “friendors” haha! Their info is at the bottom of this post)! Keep scrolling to read about this beautiful couple’s wedding journey, from start, to newlyweds. Thanks for stopping by!

How/where did you meet?
We met in high school. We were part of a group of friends and became close after spending a lot of time together. We were best friends for almost 8 months before we starting dating!

What made you sure that you wanted to get married?
We were good friends for almost a year before dating. This made our transition to dating very natural. We treated each other so well and our connection grew stronger. After many special moments together we knew we wanted to be together forever.

How did he propose?
He had my mom and grandma bring me to to Long Dock park thinking we were doing something else. He had a picnic set up with family there. We then went to a nice family lunch after.

What are some of your favorite memories from your special day?
We loved taking our photos together before the ceremony. It was our first time seeing each other that day and that let us share nice time together to relax before the ceremony itself. It helped completely change my mood from the hectic preparation of hair and makeup before.
Another special moment was our last dance together. It closed out our special day and was a fun moment for the two of us.

If you had some advice for brides planning now, what would it be?

After the ceremony, take a moment together. We had a short walk before heading off to the reception and this allowed us to just take in how special the day was. It’s always nice to be able to take a breath and have an intimate conversation with your spouse.
